Do you rec' several credit card applications? Just open the mail and mark out all the important boxes and write, "NOT THANK YOU" on the pages. Send everything back to the credit card company including the envelope they sent the application in. This eliminates paper waste in your home. The company pays for the postage and they have to deal with the paper. Hopefully they recycle! In time, the applications stop coming to you.
Don't know what to do with the egg cartons? Give them to your local day cares, people who sell eggs, art teachers (plastic/styrofoam), use them to start seeds in the spring (they are biodegradable), drawer sorters, garage sorters, the list is endless.
